How much crap is on your desk RIGHT NOW? Crap that needs to be done? Okay, for me, I've got four days with of patient payments to enter, today's mail (payments) and a few other things I could be doing, but don't wanna. I've also got more than a years insurance aging that I could be hittin. What are you looking at on your desk RIGHT NOW, that needs to be done? I have lots of files that I have to either record at the registrar recorder's office or file at court. I have letters I have to type and sent out. I also have a lot of wage garnishment I have to prepare and send to the sheriff's. Plus on the floor I have about 30 collection cases that need to be updated and I have to send out the checks to our clients. I have A LOT of work!!! I am more of a project person, so I work on whatever needs to be worked on, and not really any deadlines. But once in a while (like month end) I do have stuff that has to be done. Mail that I just got that I need to open and sort. A fax that I might as well just throw away, because the crap she faxed won't work Freaking advertising bills that don't have all the info needed for me to send in to the franchise for reimbursement. More invoices Bills that are THIS CLOSE to being past due if I don't get them paid very soon...but I can't pay them until the Parts Manager sends up the Purchase Orders for them...so I need to get on her butt about it, otherwise my butt will be the one lit up when we get a whopping late fee Link to post Share on other sites

We also have our realty company in here also. We're a small business w/ only 11 people working here but we're all family. (which means alot of drama) So what I have on my desk right now........... Lets see....I have about 5 endorsements to do, 4 additional premium add-ons to do plus make up new coupons for the add-ons, I have 6 HO quotes I need to finish but damn I hate doing those. I've got a file on my desk that has about 30 rental properties in it (the same person) who is ALWAYS refinancing so I have to keep it there b/c as soon as I put it away he's making another change on one of his policies which is SO aggrivating. I also have to balance the realty checkbook from April & May & also the finance ckeckbook from May. & the month is comming to an end soon so next week I'll be trying to balance the stupid computer to the checkbook. grrr which I absolutly HATE doing. ziggue Posted May 25, 2005 Share Posted May 25, 2005 I do Admin/Clerical work. Mostly I get stuck with the all the filing jobs. That's what I get from starting off as the Trainee. Lol. . I don't mind it though anything to keep me busy at work, it makes the day go faster. Sometimes it's a pain asking people if they need help. When I finish with the filing. Did you know that that kind of thing is really "workplace fraud" or theft? Your employer is paying you only to perform your job, not goof off on the internet - you're not giving your employer their money's worth. Why do you think so many employers now have hidden software on their computers to monitor their employees' use of computer time? In a lot of companies, if you get caught goofing off on "their time", you can lose your job. It goes the other way too...why didn't you choose to instead bitch at blind_otter's boss whose lazy ass not only doesn't do work, but keeps her from doing her work? It goes both ways. Everyone goofs off now and then and if she wasn't getting her work done overall, she would've been fired. I feel more pitty for her that she still has all those things to get done - all those files to record, letters to write, etc. ughhh if that's bragging then ???? maybe she's taking a break on LS. alphamale Posted May 26, 2005 Share Posted May 26, 2005 rite now I am working on setting up a few new plants in our billing system. three are new mexican plants and one is our new Montgomery, Alabama plant which will be supplying car interiors for the new Hyundai plant in the same city. also I am getting tons of calls from plants all over N.
