TaraMaiden2
Well they didn't ask me. and please, please trust me on this, I am totally, strictly, entirely inarguably heterosexual. No ambiguity, grey area, doubt, indecision or confusion: I am as straight as anyone could possibly be.

Imported
So some students "researchers" got 345 female students at Essex U to look at photos of other women while they had an eye tracking device to watch for dilation. Because that indicates sexual arousal or a bowl movement.
jen1447
Women Are Either Bisexual Or Gay And 'Never Straight', Research Suggests Not quite right IME - more like 2% lesbian, 2% straight, and 96% bisexual. Well they didn't ask me. and please, please trust me on this, I am totally, strictly, entirely inarguably heterosexual. No ambiguity, grey area, doubt, indecision or confusion: I am as straight as anyone could possibly be. That's what they all say beforehand. Timshel
Idk Jen. I spent summers until 20 at a camp that embraced '5th freedom' and was overseen by lesbians. My sister is a lesbian but had some years as bi. I have shared a college dorm with a woman who became a close friend who was bi and yes.....she brought both home in close quarters. K I have not been raised in a closed minded environment but never once, I really mean this, it never crossed my mind. All around me for my entire upbringing and.....nada. I am not turned on by gay porn. I want to see a man, it's the only thing that gets me going. You kinda sound like my sister, she has similar opinions but her abhorrence for me is soundly rooted in my noncompliance. Anyway, though I support my sister in her choices and all other women, either I am an outlier or there are truly women walking who just aren't into it.
jen1447
^ You're either a 2%er then or someone I'd switch anyway when the time came. It's really quite common - maybe even typical - that women who can be brought around never felt a tangible attraction for other women, but it makes their change no less legit when it happens. Likewise ppl who're around a lot of other women (I think that would be all of us lol) or are exposed to lesbianism. Just like being around men doesn't automatically make women want to sleep with them, it generally takes a woman to pay attention and 'sweep you off your feet' to be converted. I think in fact this degree of shall we say "unconscious bisexuality" supports the notion of the large percentages.

Anyway, though I support my sister in her choices and all other women, either I am an outlier or there are truly women walking who just aren't into it. Same here. Raised in a progressive, sex positive household (believe it or not). I have had many opportunities to have sex with a woman. And I just had no interest. I have very graphic dreams. I have woken up many times in the middle of an orgasm. Not once have I ever had an erotic dream that involved a woman. You'd think that if I were bisexual, then my subconscious would let it out somewhere, but nope. I prefer the scale that Kinsey developed back in the day... With different people falling somewhere on that spectrum. I am squarely a 10 for heterosexual. There are times I really wish I could be attracted to women. Seriously! That's how annoying I find men's behavior sometimes. Lol.
Mrs. John Adams
I have always heard that every woman is two drinks away from a lesbian experience... I am not into women....i love women...i respect women...i think women are beautiful.....but i want to have sex with a man. Could i have sex with a woman? sure.... Do I want to? nope
No Limit
Not me. I don't find breasts appealing or arousing in any way, much less vaginas.
T-16bullseyeWompRat
I don't buy this. I know for a fact my wife is what I've affectionately termed for straight women, "strictly dickly" no chance she gets with a woman.
MightyPen
I don't buy it either. I'm as progressive as anyone and recognize that people are all over the Kinsey scale, so yes there are plenty of people with bisexual urges, be they slight or more significant, but there are also plenty of people on the very ends of the spectrum. TaraMaiden2
Oh right. You're assuming I haven't tried it? Twice. The thought of either time turns my stomach. (once at Girls only boarding school. Teenage experiment and exploration. Did absolutely nothing for me. Was sick afterwards. Second time, with second husband. Threesome. Again, had to call a halt because it was about as sexy to me as a cup of cold vegetable soup.) I'm very happy for others to indulge in whatever activities and experiences they want. More power to them. me? I've 'been there'. Twice. I know my own mind, tastes and proclivities. You can keep it with bells on.

TaraMaiden2
What, about the 2%....? (I'm in! ) It's only an opinion, and I can't back it up with any data, tbh, but I think it may be an underestimation. I'd say the proportion of straight women is higher. It's like saying only 2% of men are completely straight... I'm not sure how many guys on this forum would agree with that percentage, but I would think it would be indicative of a higher number again... I don't know that LS is really an accurate profile of the general public tho'....

Imported
I think a lot of the "bi-sexual" women are "bi-sexual" for men and it's not so much that they are "bi-sexual", it's just they're willing to do a lot for their man or to interest a man.
