My family is killing me

So my mom recently went abroad to work and she is pretty far away but, as strange as it may seem, that does not upset me. I am doing perfectly fine without her, since I am in the same town with the same friends, but the only thing that has changes is that now I live with my grandparents. I thought everything would go just fine because, I mean, grandparents (at least mine) let us do whatever we want to do and bla bla bla... But I feel like I miss something.

Well, I know what that is, it is someone to talk to, to understand me, someone who will listen and give me advices because they have been through a lot... I do not have that with my grandparents, they are too close minded, if I would ever dare to mention a boy to them or say that i like a boy who does not feel the same way, they would just tell me to forget boys and concentrate in school, straightaway.

I really need to talk to somebody and I can obviously still talk to my mom despite the distance but since two weeks ago things at home started getting really bad. We argue everyday and when I get home I just rush to my room and don't come out until dinner or something like that.

I really don't know what to do about this but it is becoming serious since I have considered giving up on... well, everything if you know what I mean...

If you have read this until the end and have any idea of how to help me, or have been through anything similar, please help me.

Start asking your grandparents more questions about themselves, how they view the world, what changes they have seen, what their hopes & dreams were when they were your age. Respect the wisdom they share with you.

Once you prove to them you are a sensible person who values their perspective, you should develop greater appreciation for them as people.

Hiding away in your room & not respecting their house rules is not helping your situation.
