Author Cloudcuckoo Posted November 20, 2015 Author Share Posted November 20, 2015 Having understood after his behaviour, the serious nature of it and it's devastating effects in all corners of his life, my husband now spends a good deal of time educating others in a variety of settings and within a wide age range about the effects and pitfalls of this spiralling addiction. He had no real sense of what was really happening to him physically and psychologically until he was examined by an expert physician. What he was told about the chemical reactions and changes in his neural pathways in his brain this seemed to shock him into reality! Now, our biggest and very real concern is what this is doing to our youngsters on a global scale with such ease of access to porn. Children as young as 12 have fallen victim to addiction and we are now presented with the possibility that there might come a time in the future when relationships as a whole will be changed because of an inability to relate in a humanistic way. Those interpersonal skills necessary to develop interest, attraction, emotional and sexual development in a natural and healthy way might be lost. I think it will be some time before we see any possible evidence that porn and infidelity as a result of the access to both through the Internet.
