youdunsay
I noticed that the people whom I network with in my business circle are heavy smokers. Another senior colleague of mine introduced me to his business contacts and everyone was huffing, puffing all over. He has interest to poach me over to his team and since my contract is up soon, I'm contemplating this option too. My only concern would be to survive mentally and physically, considering that I don't smoke and I'm pretty sensitive to passive smoke. The last thing I want to do is to pick up smoking or get lung cancer.
TaraMaiden2
You're in the minority. It's actually more of a case of how they handle you. Which do you cherish more? Your job or your health? Clearly, taking this job will put your health at risk. You need to therefore decide which of the two is more important to yopu.
GemmaUK
I take it that the country you live and work in hasn't yet banned smoking inside work buildings? Which country do you live in OP? You don't 'need' to smoke or start smoking because colleagues do though. You do have free choice on that.
