SwordofFlame
I've come to the realization that I don't seem to have a problem making acquaintances and getting first dates, but struggle mightily to turn those into close friendships and relationships. I'm naturally an introverted guy but definitely not shy. Anyone else suffer rom the same problem? Any advice? I'm 28. Am I doomed to have this problem my entire life? GemmaUK
Do you open up to people about you? The people you want to be friends with that is? Do you remember to ask them how they are, listen and relate back to it next time you see them?
Author SwordofFlame
Do you open up to people about you? The people you want to be friends with that is? GemmaUK
Practice opening up to people. They can't get to know 'you' if you don't let them in.
todreaminblue
I agree with Gemma theres a bond that forms between people or even groups of people who open themselves up to be vulnerable...its a raw honesty that is recognised and appreciated...which in turn makes it possible for the other person to be vulnerable too...it is trusting and therefore makes that person a little more trust worthy.... opening up ...is key...to building closer relationships..deb
