Do the ladies like a man who is good with his hands? (Not in a sexual way)

I'm sure this question has been asked 100 times before on here, but I would like to know out of my own curiosity since I am new.

 

Do women find a man who is mechanically inclined attractive?

 

A man who is good around the house with repairs.

 

How man ladies find it sexy to see your man slaving it trying to solve that plumbing problem...etc?

If he actually knows what he is doing that is..

If he isn't sure when things get tough I would rather he say.

I can fix/build literally anything. The short list off the top of my head:

 

Electrical, AC, DC, 3 Phase

Plumbing. Freshwater, grey water, black water

Computers. Can build them, program them, etc

Boats. Just finished a vacuum epoxy resin infused state of the art performance catamaran, from scratch

LPG/Propane. Do all my own flare fittings, etc

Power Generation: Solar, charge controllers, generators, battery banks and monitors

Equipping a boat. Anchor tackle, lines, marlinespike, etc

RVs. Built a very well functioning class B out of a Sprinter. One of the first conversons on that platform. Came in well undet grvw, air conditioning, generator, stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, plumbing, etc.

Houses. Literally everything. Did it as a helper during school.

Painting. From simple latex interior on a roller to 2 part linear polyurethane through a Devibliss Spray gun

Higher tech. At NASA, I helped build... and write software for... sensors that are still in space sending data to earth, robotics, servos, controllers, built a computer controlled electromagnetic rail gun in high school

Engines. Rebuilt my ATV engine as a teenager. Can fix any small engine, outboard, lawnmower, generator, don't allow mechanics to touch my vehicles, including the diesel Mercedes sprinter i had, have Obd and other readers to read codes from cars, diagnose the problem and fix them

 

 

Pretty impressive right??

The ones that do like a guy who can fix things like a rustic, blue collar LOOKING guy typically, not a guy with actual skills.

 

As is often the case in life, they fall for image over substance.

 

This is my experience, not meant to say women are bad, they just may not know what they are looking at when they estimate what a blue collar looking guy knows.

 

They wil fall for the look rather than the substance.

 

Kind of the same with Harley guys and whatnot. People think they are tough just because they bought a Harley and an orange and black leather costume at the shop where they bought the Harley.

These skills would certainly get points with me. But no more than any other trade or profession. I don't care if he's a lawyer or an electrician - it's the personality which matters.

 

However, I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'blue collar looking'. But if you mean what I think you mean, it may be a problem for me. Now, I know many blue collar workers who are stylish and well spoken - and I would not be able to tell them apart from a white collar worker when they are out. However, if a man's dress sense and manner of speech shows him as being a bit too rough around the edges, then he's going to have trouble finding a classy woman.

I was an electrician when I was younger and later an engineer. Never seen any woman impressed by what I could do with my hands but it isn't surprising.

 

If you don't look like the handy DIY guys on the TV, they aren't interested.

 

I would say the same goes for cooking skills.

If you don't fit the mold of slick TV chef, no interest.

 

If you're just a normal guy who doesn't typically look like he can fix things or cook it isn't really a bonus at all.

I think I admire anyone who tries to solve problems and fix things themselves, survival skills, creativity, piecing things together, cooking, gardening, cars, musical instruments, art, as well as fixing things around the house. And it's not about being a manly man, it's the intelligence and passion that I like about it.

i love a guy who works with his hands.....i like working with my hands.....i dont know if its about slaving away at anything but an attention to detail an analytical logical mind...all the things i respect...i also love to see the passion and i like to learn so....yeah ...i think its wonderful...my exes dad was a carpenter he made me a glory box and a dining table..i studied woodwork leather work and metal work as well as technical drawing and agriculture at school....i am actually a fixer myself.....i love woodwork the most

 

 

....my ex could figure out most things when it came to fixing..and he was always so careful and methodical...you could see his brain ticking..it was pretty cool....he had to repair quite a few beds we went through...... he always did it with passion and deft fingers with a smile on his face.....i am pretty sure the smile was from why the bed was broken in the first place..i loved his smile....and those hands.....deb
