Ladies: Why are men in uniforms hot?

Yep...the fireman's uniform just gives off that "courage combined with humanity" aura

i have met women, LINDYA, that only exclusively date firemen or policemen or military men. If the dude is not in one of these occupational categories then they won't even give them the time of day.

And you know these women are not gold-diggers cause none of these types of guys make the big bucks. But they are usually very masculine types, sometimes so much so that it is to their detriment.

Well, refusing to date men unless they risk their lives on a daily basis is a bit OTT. Maybe they just want to reduce the possibility of being involved with that "weak villain" type who'd rush to save his own skin in an emergency.

I knew two daughters of firemen. Both fathers were alcoholics. My friend married a fireman. Who drinks a hell of a lot. I'll take a teetotaller in regular person clothes any day.

The logical part of my brain takes in that info and nods sadly and without surprise. The bit where fantasy dwells is busy surrounding itself with stone-cladding and saying "no, no, NO!"

Yes the female pulling angle was one of the very very few things that I miss about the military. Its locational though. If you're military and deployed (in europe, Spain specifically) being military is a very large plus. If you are state-side, U.S. girls are notorious for being hard to pull (compared to other parts of the world). If you are in a military town state-side, you're a dime a dozen, lol.

Yeah everywhere I was stationed you could get a dozen military guys for about 8 cents. England was worse than the states. Spain was great. I don't even speak spanish.

Wow!! There's some interesting responses about men in uniforms.. can't resist adding my own. I am married and recently seperated from a policeman. We were together for 19 years and have a 17 year old son.

Some comments were made about how "macho" policemen are... that they are "real men" and give the impression of being strong and able to cope in a crisis. Let me tell you that my husband and many of his colleagues live on a knife edge. They are often depressed, have nightmares and find it difficult to function in any " normal" way.

Relationships with loved ones are fraught with pain and sufffering. Many of his colleagues cheat and lie to their wives and girlfriends about it ( sadly my husband did too) and some are chronic alcohol abusers as a result of the stress they have to live with.

Steer clear of any emotional involvement with these types of "men". I've seen many broken women over the years.
