To make a long story short: He stopped showering and changing his socks/clothes, he was calling in sick to work a lot, he didn't help with house/yard work, and --worst--he drank four days a week. Oh, I should add that he was always leaving me because he was jealous of my friendship with my eldest daughter's (late) father. Anyway, now that he's moved out, he has lost his job and is borrowing beer money from his mother (who is surviving on social security). Soooo, he called me last night to say he is giving up drinking because he now realizes how strongly I detest it. BTW, his rent is due on the first of the month, and he has $7 to his name. I think he's expecting me to take him back. But I'm just not ready. I don't know if I'll ever be ready...Am I responsible for his well-being? Do I owe him because I've caused him so much sadness* that he wasn't able to go to work? To complicate matters, we have a four year-old who wants him to come home. Sigh.Thanks so much! *I admit, I had an emotional affair with a married co-worker whom I admitted to being infatuated with. That was what caused him to leave me.
