It is funny how wide the gap is between what women THINK they want and what they ACTUALLY respond to. I did not win my wife (who was twice out of my league - in looks and class) by writing her poems, giving her roses and chocolates, and kissing the ground she walked on. Other guys tried flattery with her and got no where. I pretended that her friends were more interesting than her, and this made her compete for MY attention, until she finally got it.
