LookAtThisPOst
I have to say, I'm seeing a good amount of women putting ink/tats right on their chests, very distracting an obvious. I don't mind tats on someone, but wouldn't you agree that are just some places that aren't right for tattoos? Chest, necks, etc? Now, on the back of the shoulder blade is cool, ankes, hip, etc. I don't mind that. Sorry for those who do have tats in those places, but to me, I would think that this would be a turn off. Makes the person look like they've gotten out of prison or something. Are there places that ink just shouldn't belong?
sportygirl89
I've seen some really good tattoos on back of necks, generally covered with hair. Also a girl in high school I knew got a tattoo behind her ear with musical notes and she said it represented she was partially deaf. Until you know the story behind each girl and their tattoo you don't have right to judge them on it.
Erik30
Yeah those huge tats on a chest are a turn off for me. I also don't like those tattoo sleeves. It can look cool, but I don't think it's attractive. But I guess I don't like big tattoos in general on women. Small ones are fine. Also not a fan of stretched earlobes. But people should get tattoos where ever they want. It's their body. I don't think it's that attractive, but it certainly doesn't make me think of "prison." Diezel
I'm pretty sure a tattoo on their face is an automatic DQ.
Imajerk17
Well, it depends what you mean by "worst". People who get tattoos typically are doing so to express their individuality. They would rather 1 person find it to be perfectly awesome and 99 other people find it a turn-off, than all 100 people think it is cool. They'd rather be that rare person's shot of whiskey than everyone else's cup of tea. But yeah, tattoos on the face.... Edited December 15, 2015 by Imajerk17

CTRL C
I think the composition and quality of the tat is a bigger determinant of attractiveness. A well done chest or neck piece will always look better than some mediocre foot tattoo. They're for the individual, though, not for me. I just prefer quality tattoos overall
lino
Huge tattoo fan and I have 13 myself, soon to be 14 Unless you're a bikie or mike Tyson, I don't think most people can pull off face tattoos If a woman had a huge one across her chest I don't think I'd love it but if all else was great about her I wouldn't turn her down just because of that. shoplocal
Hmm, the post title says 'you', which can refer to men....so I'm going to talk about tattoos on men I don't personally prefer. I love'em unless they're naked women or lips. In the case of naked women, I don't personally enjoy looking at naked women (unless it's me), so there's that. And lips bring up the same issue--it looks like he's got someone else's lip print on him. Major turn off! And as far as face tattoos go, I've never seen face or head tattoos on men that don't initially look frightening. And after they stop looking scary, they just look kind of gross to me. That being said, in general, I looooooove tattoos, and am more concerned with mine than anyone else's...unless theirs gives me an idea for one I might get!
GunslingerRoland
I like tattoos on women a lot. I think tattoos can look good almost anywhere if it's the right one. But I do get a bit of a laugh about how many women I see, with like 40GGG breasts wearing low cut shirts with a big tattoo on top. It's kind of like, what you were so bothered that guys occasionally noticed your face while talking to you that you had to draw their attention back down?
loveweary11
"Worst place you can wear ink?" I'm going to go with Turkey or parts of Southeast Asia.
MissBee
There is no natural law that tells you were ink should "belong." Some people think ink belongs only in books not on bodies. You think they belong in only some places, others think you should ink your whole body. There is no should and ought to. There is only what people prefer. There are places I prefer and places I don't. But I don't confuse my personal taste with a "should" or "where it belongs." That's attempting to make a rule about something that other people should follow when there really is no rule about it beyond what people decide.

Like what looks like the most distasteful place to wear a tattoo? Or how much ink do you think is too much for you for it to be turn off. But I couldn't fit it all in the headline. Just mostly of what's a turn off for you, smokers or non-smokers. Like to me, ink that spans the body, torso, angel wings on the back that go the distance. Too many, it's like when I see a ton of bumper stickers on a mercedes.
edgygirl
Tatoos are hot. If I wasn't in the corporate world, I would get them all over. I had a small one near my chest when I was 21. I would not do it today, but it was who I was at the time, and it made sense back then (artistically and otherwise), and it's part of my history. I honor who I was back then. No one has ever complained about it
edgygirl
Also, preppy people would never think tats are hot. It's all about the culture you belong to. I couldn't be less interested and bored by preppy people, so it goes both ways.
ufo8mycat
Most non criminals think tattoos are anything but hot. horses for courses hey? I have quite a large watercolour/abstract tattoo on my inner biceps and I have received nothing but compliments. Not likely to be confused with something you would get in prison. That is the beauty of choice! Everyone can choose appeals to them. I would think it very short sighted should you find the perfect person for you in everyway but they had chest tattoo. But my checklist isn't so uncompromising, people are not composite bits - they are whole packages with flaws and foibles.
MidwestUSA
This thread has inspired me. Hubby keeps asking what I'm want for Christmas. There isn't anything I need. So, a tatt it is! I'll take suggestions here for what and where. All I currently have is a lower back (stamp, if you will). I'm open to ankle/foot and shoulder. Not yet ready for anything on the arms that will show at work. This is exciting!
still_an_Angel
It depends on the wearer, there are some people who just look good with their tats, but would probably look awkward on another person.
Poutrew
On women, I'd say huge Harley wings across their butt. A past GF said one of her previous boyfriends had the tip of his penis done up like a dragon. A goth chick had a tat on her right breast that showed milk (or blood) dripping from a sliced open wound...she told me dead people told her to get it...
Popsicle
I am not a fan of tattoos, especially on women. They don't look good anywhere to me. Just my opinion.

FeelingFireworks
Regarding location, I like more discrete places such as inner forearm, top of foot and upper inner thigh. Most unusual ink job locations I've seen are inside of the mouth and the whites of the eyes (If you darted your eye the wrong way accidentally when it's being done I'm sure you could be visually impaired). Anyway it's the quality of the artwork that's most important to me. I enjoy looking at 3-D tattoos.

OldRover
I'm of the crowd that hates tattoos, no matter where, how big or small on anyone, guys or girls. I've passed on a few dates at time because the tattoos looked so stupid I didn't want to be seen with them. I've also passed on hiring people with them in any customer contact position. No upside. Lots of downsides. What's the point? They are permanent, expensive and you just can't "take them off".... Dress with clothes, makeup, jewelry makes MUCH more sense. Don't get me started... they totally suck and look stupid... period.
