No interest in Star Wars is a deal breaker?

This would be a dealbreaker for me if a guy didn't enjoy science fiction and fantasy movies. They're my favorite genres so it's important to me that someone share these interests.

Not liking one particular thing wouldn't be a deal breaker for me but a total lack of anything in common whatsoever or, as I've often found, an irrational hatred of a thing (or things) that I like would be.

Someone trying to talk you out of or persuade you not to like something is a huge turn off. Even worse is if they get enraged - such as an ex girlfriend did to me about 3 years ago when she ranted that she was going to come round my house and destroy my sci-fi stuff because I wouldn't conform and give it all up.

Being like that just makes me feel like the idea is to 'train' or 'reprogram' someone to be the partner they want.

People shouldn't go into relationships seeking to change someone to fit their ideals.

How long were you with this ex-girlfriend?

If a girl isn't fluent in at least 2 of Orcish, Klingon & Wookie, you have to next her, no choice.

Actually my wife had never seen a star wars when I met her. She's seen them now and liked them, but I don't see that as a dealbreaker.

Someone who watches absolutely no TV/movies might be a little much though. Most of the people I've met who are like that are pretentious and just love telling every person they talk to how they don't even own a TV, like it makes them special.

I actually knew of a couple of women that have NO internet access in their home. lol. That's like the equivalent to no running water in the house these days.

That's the word I'm looking for. Nothing pretty much puts the brakes on a rolling conversation about a movie or TV show when someone chimes in, "I don't own a TV." lol

I'm like, "You have internet and a computer, yes?"

This is interesting, found a woman that said IN her profile....

Looking for an equally nice fun man.

I need someone who would want to hang out in the Theme parks with me, and can hold their own in a heated debate over Star Wars or Game of Thrones.

Plus...she loves Star Wars and is 43, my only concerned is that she demands that the man she dates is into theme park attendance as much as she is. Dont' get me wrong, I love the theme parks, but I'm lucky I get to them a couple of times a year, and with the rise in ticket prices at $100 a pop, it's not worth it to me to go, esp. if I've already ridden every ride and been to every attraction since I was born AND raised in the area with a nearby theme parks.

To even eat at a park, there's a serious mark-up on food.

She's theme park obsessed, which can get quite costly, but she's all that I"m looking for in a woman, with the exception of that.

So she's more theme park possessed than Star Wars obsessed apparently. lol

So to be honest, after al you have said about theme parks you are better off respecting her views and not contacting her.

Let's face it, you don't want to go to a theme park in the next 2 years do you?

Wouldn't be a dealbreaker as long as he's fine with me going without him to the cinema to watch it. It's probably for the best anyway, I'm not sure a guy would like to see me drooling all over the popcorn whenever Kylo Ren enters the scene.

Hmm, but since I'm pro-Sith, maybe a pro-Jedi guy would be a dealbreaker? I'll need to think about this.

Star wars is not the greatest movie.

And people that like it often are like in fantasy world. And spent hours talking of something that isnt even truth. So sad!

I think you can talk more with one that dont have tv. Then someone that

brag all day about some fantasy stupid story.

That isnt even relate with real life issues!

That's alot of damn sad people all over the world that cared about that stupid fantasy story. And a helluva lot of conversations going on about said flick.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has just made $1 billion worldwide!

OP, for all your threads about how unnecessarily nitpicky women are, you are actually even worse

Relax. If you ended up dating this woman, you'd go to a theme park maybe several times a year. She likely has the same budgetary constraints you do. You can also make it a point to eat before or after your theme park visit. Besides, she might end up taking up some of *your* hobbies too, which brings me to my next question, what DO you like doing for fun? (as opposed to what you DON'T like doing, which you have gone into some length about on here)

Besides, there have been studies that say that adrenaline-packed dates are awesome at creating sexual chemistry. If you were to play your cards right you might get to end up riding the roller coaster with this woman in more ways than one!
