Book reading and shared practice club for individual healing for betrayed spouses.

Hello,

I want to ask if anyone is interested in sharing experiences of practice and discussions of books and other healing practices?

I started reading the book, "The Untethered Soul" (which is not directly about affairs, but is extremely useful in dealing with one's thoughts and emotions resulting from an affair, that can be extremely painful)

This could be more focused on your individual healing than focused on trying to "fix" the affair or anything to do with fixing the relationship (which is sort of an independent and separate problem, although it is connected to individual healing)

Any takers to form such a book or practice club for individual healing? Its certainly useful to start to take responsibility for your own well-being and I'm fairly certain that doing this among a group of people WILL be a positive, healing and a more effective process than trying to weather the storm all alone.

You might want to look into the "Broken Now Beautiful" support groups. It used to be BAN (Beyond Affairs Network) and they recently changed names.

I used to attend one in a local city (they have them across the US) once a month and it was kinda helpful to sit with other BSs for a couple hours of support. I only stopped going after my divorce because it was a significant drive and always on one of my parenting days.

Read the late, great Dr. Frank pittman and dr. Shirley Glass, gurus on infidelity. Their practical advice and descriptions of those who wander and why was hugely helpful to me, a fBS.
