dreamingoftigers
I just wanted to add quickly to my story that I didn't request info about my father's confirmed affair from the ex-employee. She was VERY upset with my father as he has hired her, then solicited hiring her husband for about double the wage he was making in the oilfield. He had provided a living space as well through his company. So he had both husband and wife working for him when he randomly fired BOTH of them and gave them no notice to move, in fact they had to fight to get their stuff back. (This happens all of the time with him, so yes I know it is random, he seems to really get off on it too). He then tried to have them both DEPORTED as they were here on work visas. Another thing he does regularly. I personally suspect that he does this partially to find affair partners, then when it doesn't work out he actually tries to destroy and deport them as often as he can. Very sick. So the employee tried to "hit him where it hurt." But frankly, my opinion means zilch to him so it was a misfire. I couldn't completely ignore it (at the time) when my mother asked for info. She had previously been informed of the affair after the firing but largely chose to ignore it. Because my father "gets those accusations all of the time." But he was also particularly blatant about this one. He had also hired someone else to watch over my mother during the day to confirm her activities because wanted to make sure he was covered. At one point he even started mentioning his AP's underwear and such to me. Like it was "just a joke." I knew my mother would never believe it. So stupid. So when she finally asked instead of just trying to shield "poor Chris" from "the Evil Everyone Else." I just gave her the hotel name and phone number.
MJJean
*sigh* My Uncle K was told Aunt M was cheating by their then 8 and 6 year old kids. The kids didn't know they weren't supposed to mention Mommy's "friend" who comes over when Daddy's gone. My cousin, J, got caught with the babysitter (don't panic, she was legal) when his wife came home early. My sister got caught when she and a male friend took an hour and a half to make what should have been a short round trip to the convenience store and he was seen sporting some wicked scratches down his back when he stripped off his shirt to help set up a bonfire pit. My BIL recognized her work, I guess. I'll need another few hours and you guys might want to get a drink and some snacks. I come from a very large and, apparently, very horny family... My husband's family has nothing. Zip. Zilch. Not only do we not know of any infidelity, but there are also very few divorces. They tend to either get married and stay married or not marry at all. It's like they have a lifelong monogamy gene.

ShatteredLady
Hahaha. I like the quote - "They tend to either get married and stay married or not marry at all. It's like they have a lifelong monogamy gene." Same both sides of my family. I have 1 cousin who had a brief affair. They both left their partners, married & have been together about 35 years now. A couple of family members got cheated on. (My brother & 1 of 10 uncles) Even widowed (young) family members never remarried! My Dad speaks of FAMILY like a devout religion. Everything has always been about family. Although it sounds great I think it raised me with a (sadly) unrealistic view of marriage in this day & age. I made major sacrifices for "us" starting the year we married!! A member here has the line "I wish I lived in an age where if it got broke we fixed it". I agree....
