Robratory Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 You see it often. "Single girls seeks yada-yada... Please be willing to host." I finally figured out it means she doesn't have a private place for sex, so you must have a private place or it's no go. But I dunno... for some reason, I cringe at the term. The first time I saw it, I actually thought it was some kind of code to indicate the woman was a prostitute and not someone looking for a relationship. How do you feel about the term?
Ally33 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 It makes me cringe too. It definitely indicates someone seeking sexual encounters rather than a relationship. I would suggest that if you are seeing this term frequently and are looking for more than sex, try a different website which is aimed at people looking for relationships. I find that the ones you pay a subscription for normally have more serious people on, as they are making serious effort to find someone. A good indication is also the types of photos on the girls profiles. Do they look like they are trying to seduce you or appeal to relationship types? 2
loveweary11 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Agreed. It assumes a lot. "Host" should only be used when discussing why the OLD site was down the other day. 2
mortensorchid Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Yuck. That was a new one to me as well! I'd never heard about that before just this moment. The person is clearly cheating on someone else or living at home with parents / roommates who they don't want to find out. Talk about sleazy. 1
