sam light
Too much sitting is supposed to be bad for you. I imagine that laying down too much is bad. Standing is supposed to be good. How many hours do you spend doing each? Laying= 9 hours, broken up some. Standing= Not much now. My old career kept me on feet, the new job is a sitter. Got to work on this point. Sitting= way too much
Nilfiry
At work, it is probably 50/50 between standing and sitting. At home, it is about 50/50 between sitting and laying. I do sit too much; although, posture makes a big impact on each. Sitting straight is better for you than sitting slump. If I lay with my body at a 20 degree incline, then I rest better. It keeps my sinuses clear and breathing easy.
truthtripper
I've heard that it's ok to sit, as long as you don't sit in one stretch for more than one hour. Otherwise, intermittent sitting and walking throughout the day is fine. Although, it is better to be more on your feet than on your bottom.
