NewLeaf512
For those of you who were in long term marriages (greater than 10 years) with no children and no cataclysmic event (cheating, abuse etc) Did you prepare in advance? Get financials sorted? Solicitors arranged? Obtain accommodation? Did you inform your spouse in a discussion then leave or inform and live together whilst everything was sorted? If you are now divorced are you happier?
Mrin
Long term, with kids, no big event. I wrestled with it for a year and a half. Got everything in order. Even bought new car for cash for my XW so she could have reliable transportation. I finally decided against it. But little did I know XW was going through the same thing and had decided she wanted a D. She did the same thing - out everything in order and then told me. Am way happier now. Everyone is.
Author NewLeaf512
It seems that even when people know that things need to end it is very hard to end it.
