Finalchapter
I was curious if anyone has realized that they were actually in love with their ex after a long time. Has it happened to any of you that you dumped someone thinking you were no longer in love but later realized that you can't actually live without that person. What led to that realization? basil67
No. Never. When I'm done, I'm done.
louxor
Has never happened for me. I've had cases where after time I've been happy to welcome the person back in my life, but only on a platonic level, and usually only when I'm 100% sure we are both over each other. Author Finalchapter
But what if the breakup was not due to any incompatibilities or major fights. Do people go back to the women who truly loved them and treated them well throughout... Even after the breakup.
Speakingofwhich
Yes, it happened for me one time. I'm the type of person that when I'm done, I'm done, as another poster mentioned. But, I did go back to an old bf about fifteen years after I'd broken up with him and thought I'd lost my feelings for him, other than just a friend. What happened is that he had written and recorded a song for me that I found on the internet and played. He'd sent it to me some time after we'd broken up but I couldn't play it on the computer I had at the time so I'd never heard it. One night I googled his name and a list of some of his songs came up. On the list was this particular piece. I listened to it over and over and coupled with the fact that he'd contacted me from time to time over the years, I became convinced he truly loved me and contacted him. We were together for about a year before we broke up again.
