losangelena Posted January 29, 2016 Share Posted January 29, 2016 This is nothing new. When I did OKC a couple of years ago, I read a lot men's profiles who linked to their instagram account. I don't think it's for attention or anything, it's probably just another way of giving more information about yourself, to back up what you've said about yourself in your profile. Seems very innocent to me. Or, they could be fake, spam-porn accounts. I see a lot of those on IG as well. 1 Link to post Share on other sites

I usually do this when I go to a party that was via an invite via a scheduled Facebook event say at a friends house or out somewhere else. If I meet a woman at the event and we talk some, when I get home I would sometimes see if I could find her profile on the RSVP list and go from there. Link to post Share on other sites

I could see this working sometimes since you met IRL first. Trying to message someone you've never met is another story! All I can think of with this thread. These Instagram models... I've never used Facebook (nor any other social media) to meet people to date. I use it as a means to keep contact with my old friends in my country of origin and for professional networking I just mentioned it as the only form of social media I use.
