Being a long time lurker here I have often wondered whether any of the aggrieved party's that use this site ever got to have the last word...in my case, although it was nearly 40 years ago, I lied so intensively on the Response to the Particulars that the Court sent the Divorce papers back twice and had to be amended each time as to the number of women I had allegedly slept with (the real answer was none)...I took this step because although it was my wife who was the cheater, she issued the Proceedings as I could not afford to... all I wanted at the time was to get rid of the skanky bitch but deliberately made it as difficult as possible for her out of spite...rather pathetic I know but I viewed it then as a small victory given that it eventually cost her 3 times the amount it should have done...it was about the only time in our 7 years together that I got to have the last word...strangely the initial euphoria did not last long...must be a moral there somewhere

I don't plan or even want the last word. I want my divorce then I want to start living my life and enjoying myself again. The only thing I realised about the euphoria, is that when we got married, on the day I didn't feel anything. No happiness, no anxiety, no excitement but also no regret, no unwillingness and no desire. This tells me I had already fallen out of love with my wife. I can completely see when I fell out of love and what I tried to do to make it work. Time to enjoy my life :)
