Why is my ex doing better without me?

A few years ago, I went through a nasty breakup with a guy I dated for 3 years and wanted to get married. I felt that he wasn't fully committed to a relationship since it seemed that he only wanted to see me 1-2 a week. He always put other interests ahead of my needs. At the time he broke up with me, a lot of my friends and family told me that I could probably do better but I heard from friends that he's doing well.

My mother thought he wouldn't amount to much because he had a low-paying job that some claimed he wasn't that good at. Recently, I found out that he was widely respected in his company and close to getting a huge promotion.

When we were together, he started running in obstacle course races, which I hated and thought was stupid. Since then, I found out that he still runs in those races, lost over 50 lbs, and looks better than he ever did when we were dating. I, on the other hand, can't seem to stop gaining weight.

I've heard that most of the women he dates are all attractive, highly motivated and successful in their careers. I struggle to attract anyone and the last relationship was with a 30 year old stock boy at a supermarket that didn't last long.

This wasn't supposed to happen!! I was supposed to be the one who came out better. Why is my ex doing better without me?

Aren't you a guy (based on your previous posts)?

I let a friend use my account. I don't really post on here too much so if you want to do her a favor and answer her question go right ahead, sorry for the mix-up.

My ex seems like the happiest sob since he left me.

But, their is nothing, I can do about that. I have thought of keying his car.

The only peace you will find in life is having control over things you can control, and letting go of things you can't control.

You can't control him or his happiness.

Sing let in go, and go to the gym. It will make your endorphins go up, and you will feel happier.
