soleilesquire
I don't know anyone personally but it does happen. When someone is deeply hurt it can make them do crazy things . I always think of Betty Broderick but Amy Fisher is a great example too. Thank goodness those juries believed enough in personal responsibility to call murder murder.
OneLov
In some jurisdictions in the U.S. and under a limited set of facts, adultery can justify a homicide being reduced from first degree (intentional) murder to voluntary manslaughter. So instead of spending the rest of your days in prison without the possibility of parole, you can walk free in 4 years with good behavior and no prior offense. So in some instances, you literally can get away with murder. "For “heat of passion” to exist, the person must not have had sufficient time to “cool off” from the provocation. That the killing isn’t considered first or second degree murder is a concession to human weakness. Killers who act in the heat of passion may kill intentionally, but the emotional context is a mitigating factor that reduces their moral blameworthiness. The classic example of voluntary manslaughter involves a husband who comes home unexpectedly to find his wife committing adultery. If the sight of the affair provokes the husband into such a heat of passion that he kills the paramour right then and there, a judge or jury might very well consider the killing to be voluntary manslaughter." ~ Sara J. Lots of people go way too bonkers DOT, they also do over property disputes, parking spaces, road rage and marriages where no cheating has occurred. There's no direct association between infidelity and homicide... Mr. Lucky

Mrs. John Adams
Clints house (the pig) was amazing. What she does with $100 grand puts 90% of contractors to shame. Some of the 30 -50k renos are a little hard to believe. I work on old houses and you will know in the first 30 days, wether you are lucky or broke. Sorry to thread jack, but its more interesting than cheating and murder oh yes!!!! That episode was on again today! Amazing! I know murder in infidelity exists....I don't know anyone personally that it has happened to. As a matter of fact....I am not sure I know if anyone that has even had infidelity. I think living in the midwest...people generally...keep their mouths shut and don't talk about it.

Seriously...I cannot think of anyone I know involved in adultery much less murder Have you heard of Bob Kuban? Forget the name of the whole band. Most famous for 'The Cheater'. My sister was a groupie, early 70s? He lived about a half mile from me. Walter Scott, their drummer, disappeared (my sis always came home with drumsticks). Walter's wife's affair partner's wife died in a car 'accident'. Walter was, can't recall how many years later, found in a covered cistern at a new build. They went back to the details of the car wreck to prove it was no accident. Two homicides, two conspiring perps. This one made the ID TV, or whatever it's called.

bathtub-row
Typically on those shows, the murders occur when the man is having an affair and he would prefer to kill his spouse than get a divorce. This type of thinking is so completely ridiculous that it's hard to comprehend. What concerns me is that, given the number of people who get caught doing that, how many are out there that do it and never raised suspicions? I always say it but these situations only prove how attached men are to their reputations and to their money. They often think it's much better to covertly take someone's life, get the insurance money, and run off with the mistress, instead of simply divorcing their spouse. It doesn't occur to them that their reputation and life will be completely shattered when they're caught; not to mention that they have to live with the guilt of killing another person, usually the mother of their children. This is entitlement in the extreme. OP, you need to leave your abusive wife. Don't bother plotting her murder. Just leave her. It's doubtful that she'll kill you but I don't put anything past abusive people. The important thing here is that she's a lousy spouse on so many levels.
sandylee1
I've watched numerous shows like the ones you mention and infidelity leads to murder more than many people realise......The other factor is that those are only the ones they can prove that you see. Often times the spouse is a suspect...but it's never proven. Some people go to great lengths to plan such heinous crimes.
soleilesquire
It's amazing the lengths people will go to to add as much evil to a WS as possible....now they're probably murderers. But when a BS murders in revenge they should get a pass. Pain can certainly skew the morality of our thinking, can't it?

Murder for any reason is wrong...and it doesn't matter if you are a ws or a bs...or both....or neither Edited February 21, 2016 by a LoveShack.org Moderator Topical content
