thecrucible
I've been feeling recently that I've been struggling to motivate myself. It started several years ago while at university. There I was diagnosed with clinical perfectionism and generalised anxiety by a psychologist. At the time I was really struggling with the workload and I couldn't cope under pressure, I would just not be able to believe in myself. For a long time, I have struggled to make changes in myself unless I get praise. I know this sounds weird but I didn't get praised much as child for things that I did, even if I achieved something. Now I accept that I'll never get praise but I find it hard to motivate myself now. Can anyone give me some advice? Thank you.
d0nnivain
Some people make lists & get satisfaction by crossing off the things they have done. You can also build a reward system for yourself.
Author thecrucible
Thanks Donnivain. I will have a go at that. I find it hard to navigate the adult world. I just feel really unsettled right now. I am so worried about money in the future and my ability to be financially independent.
d0nnivain
Learn about budgeting too. If you can sock some money away you might feel better.
