youdunsay
I feel like I'm trapped in an illusion. I don't know what I should be seeking for in love. Just a companion who makes you laugh? A few years ago, I knew a man who's very perfect in many ways. He was a sweetheart, very intelligent and had a gift of gab. To date, my heart still aches a little as though I'm searching that prototype of him and no men is near his match.

What people search for is largely subjective but I will say this when you meet someone exceptional in your eyes for the most part everything that follows is a disappointment. I am probably wrong but as time goes by ones preferences become specific.

Melrapuo
I wouldn't spend my whole time looking. Just do things that make you happy, and go out to events with things you enjoy doing. My past girlfriends have all been from meeting people through friends or activities, so there's no reason why it won't happen again in the future. Do that for now.
