AJWS0928
I've been dating my boyfriend for about 5 1/2 months now but we've known each other for about a year and he lives an hour away from me so we're semi long distance, and we see each other quite a bit, but anyways. I asked him to buy me a ring, not to marriage ring or a promise ring, but just a love ring the ring was $179.99 and I told him about it and at first he said yes, then I asked about it again and he said, "I'm not spending $200 on you." I've spent over $2000 on this boy. From buying him stuff, renting cars, gas money, movie tickets, food, etc. I get him whatever he wants, and I always go see him, I chase after him all the time. Do you think I'm doing the right thing? Should I be with him? Should I always have the feeling that's there is someone else? PLEASE HELP ME!!
hippychick3
You are not doing the right thing at all, OP. Stop chasing him and stop buying him stuff. You don't need to buy someone's love or chase after it. In a normal relationship at 5 1/2 months, it would be inappropriate to ask a man to buy you anything, let alone jewelry.
Author AJWS0928
Yeah that's true, thanks you actually helped a lot!
ExpatInItaly
You're coming across as extremely entitled, OP. Not an attractive quality. Love isn't about material possessions. Quit chasing him and buying him gifts, and see if he is still interested. May I ask how old both of you are, and if you've had relationships before?
