You might want to examine why you have such a bad woman picker and why you choose to stay for so long with women who mistreat you.

Good observation and point. I have to say that these two were not the only women in my life. I`ve had a few shorter term relationships here and there and looking back now some of them were good women, something that i didnt notice at the time. I`ll admit that -and as you correctly pointed out- that i chose to have long term relationships and fight for them, with the two that mistreated me the worst. After the last breakup this bothered me a lot and i`ve spend time processing these relationships, trying to understand the motive behind my behavior. I`ve come to a few conclusions and realizations. At the end of the day, the fault was all mine not theirs, in every regard.

I think you've done a magnificent job in moving on.

I'm quite emotional and I would never set about to be nasty but I make sure they know they have wronged me. I would say I have lot more control over emotions now but I used to use forums to vent on the internet about guys I had broken up with and sometimes they would see it, know it was me and get annoyed with me about it. I do regret this a little now as it must have hurt their feelings, although they chose to read it. As I say I have more emotional control now so I wouldn't let that happen and I try be discreet on social media now.

I always try and follow through with my word. A lot of people are able to be civil with their exes but I can't be friends with them so I like to just pull the plug and let us both free. With an ex of 2 years ago, he said he wanted to be friends and this time I felt cool with that as we had shared interest in fitness and I like to have an exercise buddy. But one day he was trying it on with me and tried to have sex with me by pinning me down and taking my clothes off when I did not want this . Anyway I was true to my word and said that since he couldn't be friends with me, I was never talking to him ever again. I blocked him everywhere but he still finds me on LinkedIn and he made a new profile and added me along with a long letter two years later. I read what he says but I don't reply because he has never come across at all like he understands my side of things so I refuse to talk to him out of principle.

None to tell, none to be told

Yes, we all in moments of anger dream of ways to get back at someone who hurt us, but don't have time to waste plotting and/or carrying out "revenge"

My best "revenge" was running into them/hearing about them and not feeling a thing for them anymore and/or them getting played and/or dumped by the chick they left me for.

It "is" true that the best revenge is moving on to a better life for yourself.

One of my favorite songs from La India is 'My biggest revenge.. ...is that you get to keep him". The lyrics to that somg and the high notes she hits will satisfy any desire for "revenge" on anyone.

Here's a translation of the India song...gets me through any revenge thoughts:

'Don't even think that I'm going to suffer for him

or dream that I'm going to fight for him

I'm giving him to you.

Take him far away, he is bad luck

and I don't want him

My greatest revenge will be, will be

that with the passing of the years

you will discover his deception/unfaithfulness

and like a soul in pain

you will live to the end dying of love,

dying of love

while I laugh

Don't even think that I will suffer for him

or dream that I'll cry for him

I'm giving him to you

Take him far away, he is bad luck

and I am no longer going to complain

Well now I'm free

you have liberated me from insincerity

Play with fire

now he's all yours

Never again forget

that he who plays with fire

gets burnt

My greatest revenge will be, will be

that you stay with him'

I was the ring leader of the Housewives from Hell and Twisted Sisters Revenge Club, but I can only discuss tactical maneuvers with other sisters. ;) I will say some was little things that just made us all feel better. One tactic was passingly referred to as "confuse a cat," like doing something small but anonymous to make a player wonder which one of any number of women might be mad at him.

And then I did work with an ex, so there was just some good old Alexis Carrington moves thrown in that didn't involve the sisterhood. (He and I are still friends. I think it's because I am nothing if not entertaining.)

The best revenge is to move on and do better without them

So true - but sometimes its good to have some fun and be a bit wild...

After I divorced my cheating husband he went to live with Skanky-Pants.

He wouldn't agree on the divorce settlement and claimed he was hard up because he had rent to pay at his new address. His solicitor confirmed this.

I sent of copy of this letter to the Inland Revenue asking if they knew that Skanky had a lodger?

About a month afterwards he agreed to settle the financial agreement.

It appears that IR got in touch with her and despite her protestations dropped her tax code until she attended an interview with them. She got fed up with it all and threw him out. As far as I know they kept her on their radar for years.

I don't know what else happened but eventually she must've forgiven him because they got back together.

This is technically not revenge, but she perceived it this way. I went on ten or so dates with a woman. After the last date, she revealed that she wasn't interested in me sexually, but she wanted to keep hanging out with me. We had plans to go to a concert, but I decided to take her sister instead. The sister and I have a blast and end up in bed. The original woman was furious at me for not taking her to the concert and sleeping with her sister. She assumed I did it out of revenge for her rejecting me and I did nothing to dissuade her from thinking that.

Not surprised, that was an awful thing to do. It makes me look at you in a different light completely. How can anyone do something like this and sleep at night is beyond me.

Good lord, steady on everyone! I was hoping for more of the 'I hid all his clothes except for a tiny dress which he had to wear to the shops', and less of the, 'I hit him with my car then ate his dog'!

Does anyone have any lighthearted fun ones to brighten the mood? Come on!

What exactly did I do that was so awful? She rejected me. Her sister expressed interest and I took her up on it. I admit I was wrong for letting her think I did it out of revenge, but that wasn't my motivation.

Well I have one as the revengee...

My girlfriend and I split up after she had moved out of state for a job. It was mutual, but as it turned out she was a bit annoyed anyway. So one night she was back in town and just showed up at my house at about midnight. She came in and proceeded to sex me up really good. When she was done, she got dressed, said "That'll show you!", and left...

Okay then... :D

That's the stuff! I feel like I need to date and break up with this girl at some point.

Not my style. I'm of the philosophy that moving on and finding happiness elsewhere is it's own greatest "revenge".

Come on Michelle, are you saying you've never cut nipple holes in your ex's best business shirt, knowing he has an important presentation coming up? ;)

That really is the truth, and it's not just a pat phrase either. An ex will genuinely feel far more angst at seeing that their ex isn't terribly affected by them and in fact is living a rather happy life than by having some temporary inconvenience or listening to a rant or being the victim of a gotcha trick or whatever. That stuff they just roll their eyes and go on w/their day, but w/the former their heart feels a little sad. Esp if they themselves aren't exactly livin large.

Sorry Artist lol, I know you didn't want this to be deep. ;)

Ohh I didn't say I haven't thought about doing some crazy sh*t to one particular ex :p

But there's a big difference between thinking it and acting on it. I choose to take the higher road if only for my own sanity and well being ;)

Honestly, I've never done anything in revenge either, but I've certainly thought about it. I was just interested in those stories of people who had snapped. :D

I have had fantasies of revenge, but I leave it there. Revenge hurts the one who exacts it. That said, I have never helped an ex, and have been opportunistic in letting them suffer the consequences of their actions.

For instance, if an ex lied to me or cheated, I have no problem letting the new girlfriend know if I would ever run into her. One abusive ex was dumb enough to try to talk to me in public with his new victim. He was trying to make me jealous. I was indifferent, and could not have cared less. He about died when I told her what he had done, and to be careful. Before I walked away, I casually dropped the name of a guy my ex was always jealous of and worried about.

I heard later she dumped him, and my ex was crazy with jealousy over me going out with the hot guy he was always worried about. He (ex) tried to call me and email me many times over the next year. I ignored every contact. That felt good, because I felt in control of my life, but I didn't care about him anymore. That's why they say "revenge is a dish best served cold."

Wait for the emotion to cool off.

My Ex grew to being a spoiled self entitled abusive woman that believed she was quite cute in appearance. She kept me from walking away for years by threatening me with my 3 little boys. I grew to despise her and her abuse. I fired her after 17 yrs.

Saying she was livid hardly describes it. She reached out to my family, friends and interfered with business contacts which hurt me financially by trashing me. Then of course got a cleaning at the divorce table as I was successful in business.

Did I want to burn her to the ground...absolutely. What did I do? My office manager who left her abusive narcissistic husband, we started a relationship. Now my office manager was and is HOT! We got revenge on the both of them by being ecstatically happy and rebuffed all attempts to reconcile. No matter what BS either of one of them threw at us we stood tall and smiled.

They were pissed for years to come as I later married that hot and happy girl.

I did that to a guy once. His supposed ex had somehow gotten my phone number (he had to have given it to her) so this was in the days before cellphones. Phone features were new. Call forwarding was new. So I forwarded my phone to his apartment so that when she called to harass me, he'd answer and she'd think he was at my house. Then next time I saw him I did the above. I could hear his loud hot rod truck going up and down my street (20 miles from where he lived) all the time. He made one more phone call and then moved on. Never heard from her again!

I agree with this -- but I like to do both, just because it makes me memorable. Gives them stories to tell and remember me by and laugh. It's good for my image.
