Hi, all, first time on here and looking for some help. Been seeing a fella for over 3 years- helped him with his divorce, sorted out his home and helped him move to a new home. Had thought all the time we were looking to the same goal of a life together.

 

Rather complicated relationship as we are a number of hours a part and only see each other weekends- I doing much of the commuting.

 

Engaged at Christmas, wonderful trip south, then 2 weeks ago told he "wasn't ready" and "asked prematurely". but still wants to go on with us and get counselling. 2nd time around for both.

 

Feeling hurt and don't know if I should run or continue to work on things. Cant imagine my life in the future without him. But lonely during the week without him. Friends say give him up but not so easy. Advice??

Would you say you've been investing more in this relationship than he has? I think 3 years are long enough for him to know, by the way.
