Second chance with a guy I casually dated who didn't want to commit the first time

Any guy who would prefer to break plans with you/make plans to go drink beers with his boys over being emotionally/sexually intimate with you is either not into women or, more to the point, isn't into you enough for him to give a good dash darn about how you'll take it or what it does to the relationship that is only apparent in your head and and not his.

His "out" card is the fact that:

He admitted that he does like me a lot but he feels like the connection isn't strong enough for him to want to commit.

Anytime you try to push for more, he's going to fling this^^^ in your teeth. You already know he doesn't feel the requisite connection strongly enough for him to want to commit because you wrote this yourself. Acting brand new doesn't serve you.

Part of me just wants to go back and not push for a commitment anymore and just enjoy the presence.

IOW, you want to be his groupie?

I had to re-read this again... almost 4 months and no sex?! Also factor in he is trying to distance himself from you...

Conclusions:

1) He's not into you.

2) He's gay.

3) He's very religious.

4) He's got some hang ups about sex

5) He's getting it elsewhere - explains the low frequency dates and the requirement for him to be somewhere else after a couple of hours. Sorry! ptlouie11

You're dead to rights here. He's not interested at all in you romantically. You're a friendly acquaintance -- no more, no less. Stop chasing after this dude, it's not going to happen.
