Recommended podcasts?

Recommended Posts

I spend quite a lot of time listening to podcasts, and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for podcasts dealing with anything related to self-improvement and well-being?

Religious, or non-religious?

I could give you a swathe of them, but they're Buddhism-related, and I wouldn't shove anything like that on anyone uninvited or unwelcomed....

Well..

I'm an atheist and a generally not a fan of religion, but I see no harm in hearing other peoples perspective.

As long as it is not too "preachy" or someone out to convert me, I certainly don't mind if the host has a different belief system than me. :)

Names/titles are fine but please no links unless there is nothing, no services nor products, they're selling, as that would be advertising and cause for removal. Alternatively, discuss podcasts which have brought meaning to your interpersonal relationships and why. That's the purpose of LoveShack.org, to discuss one's interpersonal relationships. Thanks!

Here are a few. To William's note: none are really interpersonal relationship oriented:

- This American Life

- Note to Self

- RadioLab

- Freakanomics

- Planet Money

- Serial

I also listen to a great one that is all about things Fermented (beer, wine, cheese, yogurt, etc): Fuhmentaboutit

- The 404: nerd humor here

I love Dear Sugar Radio, it's an advice podcast.

The Savage Lovecast (by sex advice columnist Dan Savage) is also great.

OP, when you say "self-improvement," what exactly do you mean? Like Tony Robbins kind of stuff?

This link gives a library and listing of [buddhist-related] talks and other matters which might interest.

Anything Tony Robbins that you can find on YouTube usually does the trick.

a lot of people knock him for being over-the-top and outrageous in his delivery but he actually has a ton of good points and ideas about how to get motivated, how to not just hope wishful thinking will get you anywhere in life or change anything - and other good stuff.
