katie79
People: I finally got a new job! I will finally work in the field my degrees are in: Media & Film! Yeah! Me so happy! I got an offer last Thurs & put in for my resignation. I begin June 27th. I'm soooo thrilled! Except I have those "jitters" with the "what ifs" I guess it's normal to worry a bit. I mean, it is an unpredictable change. You know, I hope I succeed well in this job & stay there a long time & all. I really think I would be an asset to the company. So I hope I do create a great deal of success for the company...and benifit my career path. Wish me luck!

Author katie79
yes, i have always been interested in working in the media. i may only be an admin asst, but it pays well (better than I make now) & it's a foot in the door. people seem to stay there a while & move up & get good raises. before i picked the major in college, i was told it was a very cut-throat industry & it's a bitch to get into. which i discovered after i graduated...breaking into adv/media/pr is not an easy thing to do. so finally i am happy i found a job in an industry i am interested in. i had a lot of trouble. many jobs in that field require proficient skills & 7+ yrs experience. but thanks! I hope this works. not to sound nutty or anything.. but they way i got this job was sort of unique. almost like "it was meant to happen". and others who've heard my story say that too. sprinkle me with angels...i hope this is my chance do really do well!
