William
Members, As our guidelines state to post one topic on each particular subject of discussion and in the most appropriate forum, I'll explain that further for the posters in this forum, since this is by far the most often reported forum of discussion for duplicate topics and thread merge requests. If you're going through a breakup and post a thread on it, please keep your updates and additional comments confined to that particular thread and refrain from making new threads with updates and/or to trumpet one more day of no contact (common!) with an ex. A thread starter can update their threads at any time and that places the thread at the top of the discussion list so others can see it. Additionally, if new information indicates an update to the title is appropriate, the thread starter can simply alert moderation via the 'alert us' button on the starting post and request an updated title. We're happy to do it! We have one very overworked and underpaid member who spends a ton of time each day alerting us to threads which need to be merged per our guidelines and I'd like all the posting members in this forum to do their part to help by posting within our guidelines and following the suggestions in this message. We generally merge threads without comment; however, if we see a pattern, we have a specific reminder regarding this issue and two such reminders will find the member suspended from free posting. We don't like to do that to people going through the pain of a breakup but this is a forum and we do have rules and they do apply to everyone. Thanks for reading!
