LoveAiko
So, I recently just got a new job in a resort style hotel/water park. I actually love it because it's the first job I've had that isn't sales oriented. Anyway, I have a total of about 6 bosses/supervisors over my area in retail and since they alternate a lot, and since I'm new, it's kind of hard to get to know them well. Everyone else seems to be so tight knit. Like I even think one of my fellow employees mentioned having gone to a party at one of my bosses places. Anyway, one of my bosses is very cute and since it's nearly impossible to get to know him while working, I was wondering if it's okay to add him on Facebook? Especially if we have one mutual friend? I know.flirting with the boss is off limits, but I also thought partying and talking about drinking with the boss was off limits too, haha. Anyway, any advice on how to add him without it seeming wierd or something?
smackie9
You just started.....give it some time to build a good rapport with him and others. You will eventually get an invite.
thecharade
Very bad idea; could look immature or unprofessional. The flexibility of the boss/employee relationship is initiated by the boss. Only.
CarrieT
Like I even think one of my fellow employees mentioned having gone to a party at one of my bosses places. If so, wait to be invited and don't try to ingratiate yourself too quickly into an established clique. And don't flirt. Best way to lose a job....
