thecrucible
Hello, removed all awkward formatting for you: Not exactly sure where to put this. I am a divorced person in their mid-40s. We were married 15 years. We have been divorced for almost 4years. I, in no way, want my spouse back. There were no children from the marriage. I have dated since the divorce. One lasted a bit over a year. I keep running into"damaged/broken" people. Very bitter people who still bad mouth their ex, some had been divorced 5-7-10 years. Add in the fact I would like to have children and, I am dating people younger than I. I notice many are still in the"games" phase. Not to mention.... "you should have had children when you were younger." Nothing like strangers shaming you when they have no idea why you did not (except maybe on the surface). I do note early on.... I would wish to start dating someone who would have a desire to have (more)children. No use in spending months and months with someone who does not want to. I was one of the millions who did not "lose" their job about 6-7-8 years ago, it was just "phased out." I saw it coming and was able to slide into a MUCH more fun self-employed job.Did not make as much but when all costs associated were crunched... I came out ahead maybe 5-8%. Around 2014 I could see my self-employed venture was starting to wane. I began looking for "traditional" work.Applied..... *crickets*. I even tried to venture into high turnover jobs and well, I saw why it was high turnover. I apply and apply.... nothing. Frustrating.... yeah, I can't explain how much. I've never been money hungry so it's not just the big payday jobs, it's the full time ones with benefits for very low pay. I'm about at the ending brick wall. It is not one but it is one..... yet now it appears to be both.
