I had talked to him a few times during the day and we finally decided to meet up at about 10:30pm. His best friend came along too - which is fine b/c his friend never says much and it helped to keep the mood light. But all night it felt like we were together. My ex was across the table from me and just kept giving me these looks and we were talking about us like we always have as a couple. Like making jokes about having sex and telling stories about us together. It was never like "when we were together..." it was just more like we were still together and just having a great time. So when we left his buddy took off and we were standing by his car and he hugged me and then we held each other for a long time - then we looked at each other - like you do before you are going to kiss but then we both chickened out. I just kissed his cheek and he kissed right beside my mouth. Then we sorta moved away from each other but then held hands for a minute while we talked. Then he said "why don't you hop in the car" so I did and we talked in his car for about 1/2 an hour. It was late so I told him i would let him get to bed. And then he leaned over and hugged me again and we held each other a lot longer than a normal hug, and it felt like we could have taken it further. So what is up here? We have been broken up for about a month, this is only the second time I have seen him since the break up. He broke up with me b/c "something just isn't right". But we have since determined that he has a lot of issues that need to be worked out when it comes to relationships. He actually called me on his own for the first time on Thursday and he was going to stop by and see me. He was at a place that has some memories for us so I know he had to have been missing me a lot that day. So what does a girl do. What I want is just this, I want us to not have full on contact like we did before but I want us to date and take things really slow. How do I facilitate that? Do I need to tell him exactly what I want or do I just play hard to get for a bit and it will fall into place? So many questions! How do I proceed? Thanks in advance!
