smile95
Poll: Do you find skinny, average, curvey, muscular, or heavy mates attractive? Can a girl/guy be too skinny and be unattractive? Once you get to know someone, I belive they can become more or less attractive. Would you ever break up w/ anyone due to weight gain/loss? I see that a lot of people gain weight after marriage. Just curious
Naive
I like my men to have some meat on their bones and not too muscular to the point that they look like our governer Arnold schwhatever!!!
Treasa
I'm not really attracted to men based on their looks, but when I fall in love, I tend to find their particular look very attractive. For example, my current boyfriend is 5'10", probably 210 pounds, helmet-shaped haircut, hairy, and with a slight monobrow. But I'm in love because of his other aspects, and find him very attractive physically now. And, for some reason, he has really sexy legs and feet! I mean, even other women would think so! Very odd. Merin
I don't think there is a perfect wieght and/or hieght.. Tallest Guy I've dated is My currant BF.. he's 6'3 and around 185lbs.. he's tall and lanky but I think he's attractive My BF before him was about 5'7 and around 175lbs.. he was solid and worked out like mad (he's in the USMC) but again.. I thought he was attractive.. My EXH is about 6' and NOW around 200lbs.. at the time we were married he was about 180lbs and I thought he looked better at that weight.. As for me I'm a very small girl.. I'm 5'5 and around 98lbs.. and every Guy i've dated has told me that my being little was part of the appeal for them.. so I dunno, maybe Guys are different than girls in having an "ideal" hieght and wieght

UCFKevin
If a girl is too thin, it's DEFINITELY unattractive to me. Lindsay Lohan? Nasty. Just plain old flat out gross nowadays. I like my women to be natural and have curves to them, dammit, if I want a broom, I'll buy a broom.
jen_jen_heartbroken
As a former broom, I can honestly say that my curves get a lot more attention from men than my flat parts ever did.

ReluctantRomeo
Originally posted by beth5201 Do you find skinny, average, curvey, muscular, or heavy mates attractive? The ideal Juliet is medium weight - moderately curvy (especially on top ) and a little bit muscular. Can a girl/guy be too skinny and be unattractive? I used to think so, but have recently dated a very thin and sporty girl and found my taste changing, just like Treasa and Merin. Once you get to know someone, I belive they can become more or less attractive. Yes.
Merin
Originally posted by ~Naive~ Wow Merin, you are so thin!!!! I am 5'8" and weigh about 130 and I feel that I am thin LOL I'm just a small girl.. Genetics play a big part.. Both of my Parents are very small.. Originally posted by jen_jen_heartbroken (jen hands merin a box of Krispy Kreme donuts) Whoo for Krispy Kreme! LOL especially tasty with Coors Light! It isn't that I don't eat things like Krispy Kreme.. I don't have a diet so to speak.. can eat whatever I want and not gain.. again I think a lot is due to Genetics, My Dad can eat 4 Eggs, bacon, toast AND cereal in the morning every damn day and never gain a pound! LOL BUT while I don't have a "Diet" I also just don't care for a lot of fast food and I'm not huge on sweet stuff.. so again I'm sure that plays a roll in my wieght.. AND I do get to the gym.. so even though I'm small, I have muscle.
AliceW
I tend to be most atrracted to guys who are somewhat muscular and solidly built. My exH was 6'3" and about 210 pounds, and my current BF is 5'8" and 145 pounds, but they are both built similarly: narrow hips, flat stomach, and nice defined arms and shoulders. However, I've also had relationships with guys who were beanpole types: tall and thin and not particularly muscular, and I found them very attractive at the time. So I do have a preference in physical type, but the personality is more important. I am somewhat turned off by guys who are really fat, but a little extra weight isn't a big deal. I think I'd also be turned off by guys who were too skinny, but only if they weren't muscular...muscular with very little body fat actually looks pretty hot! I myself am fairly muscular: I'm 5'4" and weigh about 125, and I wear a size 0 - 4 (depending on the brand). I have small bones, so at that weight and size I still do have a bit of pudge around the hips I'm trying to get rid of...but I think losing 5 or 7 pounds would do the trick.... New_Wife
My "type" as it were, varied greatly during my dating life - but weight and shape remained constant. That is, a nice average (not too fat, not too thin) type was okay with me as long as he had nice eyes and good teeth. I don't know why the teeth were such a huge thing, but a mess up grill turned me off so fast! As to me, well, nah. I could drop 20lbs and still be curvy, but I'm not doing it today! Linlin
I prefer guys 6' tall and over. I am 5'4" and I joke that it makes up for my lack of height. I have a larger frame and wear a size 10. Not fat but would still like to lose 20lbs and be a size 6. My ex was 6 and about 200 when we split. He was not a big frame so he looked much heavier. He was about 175 when we married. But he had the black hair and the blue eyes that I love. The current boy (keep your fingers crossed for me) that I am getting to know is 6'2 1/2" and is 250lbs. He isn't fat. He is just a big boy. I love it. It makes me feel petite. Love these big boys. Yes people can become more attractive as you get to know them. Yes my ex and I did both gain wieght after marriage. Mine was due to having children and his was from just eating. Mine is going away and his is not. But I would love a person no matter what they weighed.

XNemesisX
I like REALLY tall guys. Even 6'0" is not tall enough for me. Must be OVER 6'0". I prefer the 6'3"-6'4" range. I'm not a good guesser at weights but I like guys a little on the thin side but a *little* extra pudge and muscle is OK. I used to like rail thin guys for some reason. But I've noticed that now I actually seem to like guys with a little bit more to them. Not fat by ANY means though, not even chubby. *yuck* I just like guys that look masculine. I'm pretty tall for a girl (5'6" 120 pounds- yes people I have gained weight). I also love to wear heels so after I put my shoes on I'm in the 5'8"-5'9" range. I guess this has something to do with why I can't stand a short guy. It would not make me feel feminine enough. And dammit I'm not getting rid of my high heels!
jen_jen_heartbroken
Oh, you and me both girl! I'm 5'8", and I need a guy over 6', because when I wear heels, I'm really tall. I'm sort of seeing a guy who's 6'5", and that's a perfect height for me. I don't like scrawny men. Average to stocky is a good shape for my man.
jen_jen_heartbroken
Oh, and hands....they must be a little rough. Good, large and long man hands. No namby-pamby girly hands.
darhma
Lord after reading this thread I feel fat. I am 5'4" and weigh about 125#. I have a flat stomach, wear size 5/6 or 7/8 pants and have 36/D top...I am always being told I have a hot body. In reference to men I have liked all sizes and shapes. I think what makes a man sexy is their confidence and masculinity.

jen_jen_heartbroken
Ha ha ha. I mean that a guys hands shouldn't be softer than a womans -- cause if they are, then you gotta figure that he's probably never lifted a finger to do work around the house or the yard.
