shyguy3543
Hey guys, I don't know what to do with the girl I've been seeing. Now that the school semester is finally over, we spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday together. Here's how it went. Friday night: I show up at around 11pm to a little overdue housewarming party at her place. Only 6 people including me. 12:15 rolls around, people are all gonna leave toghether and she was gonna walk us all out. She hands me a parking permit and says I'll need it, so I took that as her asking me to stay later. So I stayed. We shared some ice cream and sat in silence for about 45 minutes. It was, for me, terribly uncomfortable. I put my arm around her and she acted like I didn't exist. I leaned into her, she didn't do anything. I couldn't take it anymore so I left at 1. Typical kiss goodbye, but jeez. That sucked! Saturday night: I get a text from her at 10:00 (after not talking/texting all day with eachother) and she says she rented a couple of movies from redbox and wishes I were there to watch them with her. So I got ready and went over. We popped in the first movie, we cuddled a little bit (though it was still slightly awkward feeling to me for some reason). I had to be up early the next day, so I said something about how I'm just gonna take her home with me and I picked her up. I carried her to her bed and hopped in. Almost led to sex for the first time. She wanted to, and said to bring pajamas and a condom next time I go over, but me being all weird about how the previous night went, I wasn't feeling it. I made the mistake of saying a bit later that I actually did bring a condom with me. I told her I wanted to wait because I didn't want to leave as soon as we're done and have that be our first time together. (I know, maybe that's lame... but I'd rather not feel like I ditched her as soon as we finished, you know? I'm more sentimental than the average guy, I guess) Sunday (all day): We went hiking with my best friend and his girlfriend. She barely spoke to me and again everything was just really awkward. Dropped her off at 8:30. She had to be home at 9. At the end, she said she had a great time but I honestly couldn't tell throughout the day. On the way home she told me that she had to be home at 9 because a co-worker (male, fwiw) was going to come by to check out her new place (potential red flag? who checks out their co-workers appointment at 9pm on a Sunday?). My friend called me to ask if everything was alright because of just how awkward the whole day was. I told them that's kind of how this whole dating thing has been with her. Really... idk how else to put it... weird! I've never had a dating experience like this. There are times where I feel she really likes me (and she'll say it and act like it) but there are times where I feel like we have absolutely no connection. I still don't know much about her. I'm kinda giving up on her. It's definitely time for a talk. I just don't know if it's a talk to end it or be like "soooo what are we doing with this? We need to open up more if we want to ever make this something more serious." This has been going on since early March or so and has made virtually no progress. I find her really attractive, but if a connection isn't working, what can you do, right?
