confusion

to make a long story short my b/f and i of 4 years broke up 8 months ago.. he said that he needed some space from me since we were togther all the time.. he also said that he was not ready for marriage in which we discussed it.. he always told me that someday maybe we could get back together, but not right now. after 6 months i decided that i was going to out on a date with another guy.. this really upset my ex but he didn't say anything to me about it.. so he thought he would get back at me and he went out with someone else.. i have tried talking to him but he gets upset.. i emailed him and he emailed me once and then stopped.. i really love him with all my heart.. how do i at least try to talk to him.. i don't understand why he is being so mean to me.. if we can't get back togther i would at least to be able to talk with him since we are on the same bowling team togther.. any help would be great..

I wish I coud help you but I`m in pretty much the same situation. My b/f of 5 years broke up with me 2 months ago. He told me that he needed some time to hiself.At times he would talk about our future ( we were also engaged for 3 years),then the next dayhe was very distant.Istill don`t really understand what happened.I told him I would give him the time if thats what he needed but I was going on with my life. I`ve tried as hard as it is at times. We decided to remain friends and see what happens. We talk every once in a while,He calls me. But most of the time he acts like a total jerk.I don`t understand either. But just wanted to let you know that you`re not alone out there if you want to talk and give each other some moral support or some advice. If anyone has some advice please help us.
