tiki
I'm not surprised. I can't blame them. The doctor I work for doesn't practice any religion and doesn't even really believe in God, although he was raised in Catholic school by the nuns. He had a malparactice lawsuit a couple of weeks ago that he won. He said he knew there was a God after he won the lawsuit. He said he prayed to God (which he does, but rarely) and that his prayers were answered. I think more docs should incorporate prayer and healing into the plan for the patient's recovery. Could make a world of difference IMO.

d'Arthez
And roughly 1 in 6 people in Western Europe believe that the sun revolves around the earth. Interesting to see what the stat would be for the US population. The point is?
alphamale
so what? most docs also believe in having affairs with their nurses and med assistants.

If you don't believe in God, that's OK. But I feel better talking to a Doctor or Counselor who is a believer.
d'Arthez
I would chose for the non-believing doctor if you are a believer. In case of a malpractice suit, he would not have a God to answer his prayers, thus increasing the likelihood that you would win your case. Probability-mathematics CIOC. As used by Pascal in his famous argument.

Marshbear
I don't understand the people in this post. COC believes in God and wants to say something about his faith. Those people who disagree may do so but you do not need to try to belittle someone just because they believe. I don't see COC trying to belittle the non-believers. Peace...
