bummer
It's great to hear even small progress and knowing you'll keep building on it. Keep your head up and keep resisting the urge to peek.
Author Trinity7
Thank you bummer x. Feeling really rough these past 2 days. Been drinking, which I can feel isn't helping, just adding to my depression. F*** this. Don't know why this breakup is hitting me so much harder than "worse" ones in the past. I just really let my guard down with this guy and let myself get caught up in the magic he spun about us being "meant to be" and all that. Can't seem to get over the hump. bummer
. Can't seem to get over the hump. Funny thing about humps. If you're climbing a forested hill and can't see much through the trees, it can feel like the trail just goes up and up forever. Sometimes it's steeper, sometimes flatter--making it seem close to the top, and sometimes it's rocky. You keep asking "wheres the top? I must be close!" But it's not yet the top. You keep yourself going step after step knowing there has to be a top. you saw it standing back before you started. Suddenly you'll look up from your feet and realize it's a bit breezy, more sunlight, and soon walking is easier and you know, ah ha! The top! As you take a drink of water and relish the coming downclimb, you think about the climb. it was quicker than you thought, easier than it looked, and just took one step after the last. Nothing magical, no jumps or leaps. Just steps.
Author Trinity7
Thank you for the perspective, you're so right.. Reminds me of a quote that helped me in the past: "Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble. Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain." I'll get there, we'll all get there, even though it seems insurmountable at the moment. x
