So here's my story in a nutshell... I've been a teacher for 2 years in a district I absolutely love. My principal is not the best administrator and does not support his faculty. I had been talking to a man I worked with since I started my job but secretly so that we could keep things professional. He has always said things to me like you're the one for me but then he runs away. It hurts but I've fallen for him so hard so when he comes back I allow it and then he runs again. I know that what you accept is what will continue... I know I shouldn't be allowing him to come back but it's hard not to when I have such feelings for him.

Within the passed 2 weeks I have been excessed from my job due to budget cuts and I haven't heard from him in a week. He came over last weekend and we had a great time, he made me feel better about losing my job. But now there's nothing... And it's a pattern with him.

I just feel so upset with my life. I feel like I work so hard in every aspect of my life and I always follow the rules but I always get let down. It's like a cloud follows me around. So now I'm heartbroken and I'm unemployed and in the process of looking for a new job. I don't know what to do....

You need to be straight forward with this guy, if his going to be leaving you and doing a disappearing act everytime he gets your crumbs, then you should say goodbye to him and put your efforts into yourself and your job.......becouse when one door closes another one will open. This is the cycle of life and we have to live by its rules.

Well, i think your own wellbeing and looking for a job is your priority right now. He is using you as a stop gap because you are allowing it. You are unemployed, the danger is you might sit and dwell too much. Hence, it is important to set yourself a few goals for each day and stick to them, or set a daily routine. Incorporate exercise in there too.

Put him out of your mind as much as you can and find yourself a job.

You can think about what you want to do about him later.

Take care.
