hew Posted July 3, 2016 Share Posted July 3, 2016 (edited) Hi guys, I won't go into full detail cause I have posted about my abusive relationship on here a few times. I am pursuing a restraining order as of Monday (tomorrow) My abuser is refusing to leave my property and even though police have been contacted 3 times now, we are considered common law... apparently. They said with a restraining order it will get him to leave and not be allowed on my property at all. I am wondering if anyone knows how it works as I have not had to get a restraining order on someone before. How long will it take for my abuser to be served? I need to get him out of my life asap.
