This morning as I was driving out, I had a vision of the worst scenario. If I were to have an accident, my family would have to come to my house.

The secret letters, cards and poems from xMM would be there for them to find. How awful that would be for them.

I drove back, collected the lot and trashed them. I had a few feelings of sadness but nothing that won't go away. It is the lesser of two evils.

Big relief.

The thought of my family discovering my secret was too much. I might tell them later. Not sure yet.

It was important to get rid of all the written evidence. Time later to decide about a confession to my kids.

Wow, I'm so glad to hear this. I'm sure you'd feel very empowered afterwards. I think another added benefit is that there won't be more triggers for you in case you miss him, go through his old cards/letters and feel the urge to reach out. It's a winning decision, Poppy. Congratulations!!

Poppy, I was so pleased for you when I read this. Well done. You did it in your own time, for the right reasons for you. Hoping you feel lighter and freer now.

Poppy, your strength and resolve are always inspiring. So much respect for how you've healed and moved forward from something so enormous and life-changing.

Thanks for setting such an example for those of us who are in completely different places from you... those of us in a more negative headspace. Your state of mind is refreshing and helpful. Hugs.

Way to go Poppy. Must be something in the air because I deleted xMM from speed dial on my work phone today.

I'm the oldest rock star ever Rumble, but thank you. It wasn't hard when I considered how much it would hurt my family if they found the stash of mementos.
