She left me for someone else and acts like she doesn't care. [update 5 months later]

I was in your position years ago with my first ever love. She dumped me for someone else and whilst I felt like total crap for months after, she was having such a good time.

We were still in touch and she would text to check in on me. I found it to be a kick in the teeth to be honest, as we would get in a text conversation and she would fill me in on how great her life was going (I didn't ask).

I got to the stage where I just deleted her number and moved forward with my life. There are many other people out there who would appreciate you, if it's for romance or even just friendship.

Either way, these new people can somewhat fill the void. Going out with friends to the cinema and for a meal can help banish the memories.

I reckon that your ex gets a bit of a kick out of the fact that you still want her. Women love to feel wanted and her new guy may not exactly tick every box.

She does the complete opposite. Every time we talk she tells me about how it's been hard lately because she's pinching every penny trying to manage her business, her kids and everything. She told me that she was feeling sappy when she texted and said she missed me.

She made her bed buddy.

Me too. At first I thought I could be friends and would be ok with that. But it really just never allowed me to heal-almost by talking to her it would just reopen the wound. At this point you've told her what you want from her and she said no. To heal you have to go NC or you will never get past this.

I picked a random day and decided to block her AFTER we had just had a pleasant conversation. And it hurt to do it. But if I hadn't I felt like I would always be holding onto something that wasn't there.

And I warn you right now-be cautious of her in regards to money/bills. If she try's to run back to you it might be for stability and not love. And you won't know it until months into the relationship. Usually right when you right the ship they take off. Be careful.

Yesterday I posted a meme, just jokingly, that said 'When your ex starts dating someone uglier than you and tries to make you jealous.' It had a picture of Bart Simpson holding a cake that said 'At least you tried.' It was just a joke and she has liked/reacted:laugh: positively to those type of jokes in the past, but I guess this time around it struck a nerve. She reacted  to it so I deleted it and shortly after noticed she wasn't on my friends list any more, meaning she had unfriended me.

I tried apologizing to her this morning because I wouldn't want to end things on such a childish/sour note but I haven't heard anything back from her.

I'm not going to ask her to refriend me and I'm not going to keep apologizing. What's the best thing to do here in this situation?

Hahahaha! That joke is more worthwhile than that vacuous nutcase. No disrespect, but after what she did to you she could at least have the decency to shrug it off. If she can't laugh at her mistakes, don't worry. There's plenty of other people to pick up that job.

I would say you've dodged a bullet, but that would be an understatement. After all the crap she's put you through, you're dodging bullets like Keanu Reeves off The f-ing Matrix.

Man...My ex( I'm the dumper) started putting up the "motivational quotes/videos of moving on/why people come into your life for a reason, ect."

My reply was this:

She was NOT happy! :lmao:

I read your thread. You are really on the wrong board, but you never should have been friends with this woman after what she did to you. You want to know the best thing to do? Block her on FB. Block her number on your phone. You need to ask why are you doing this to yourself? Do you want to feel like this a year from now? Because trust me, it's very possible. You need to go total NC. Trust me, in a month you will feel better and out of the fog.
