Thanks, I was looking to speak to someone who had personal experience of doing it and their experiences, that's why I asked on here rather than looking on google.

I find the best way is to concentrate on your breathing, If you need to shut out your thoughts just think "IN!!!" when you breath in, And "OUT!!!" when you breath out.

 

But, Try not to hyper-ventilate.....

I've run across a couple of forms of meditation that you might find helpful:

 

1. First is a great one that you do throughout the day. Really only takes a few moments. Even better is to set a timer (one that does not tick) and do this for 4 or 5 minutes a couple of times per day. Can really make a big difference.
