LookAtThisPOst
I saw this post of a gentleman on another message board. He actually posted a screen shot of his conversation with a woman from a dating site, asking others regarding if the content of the conversation may have turned her off. Apparently, she ghosted from the conversation, never heard back from her. Sent her a follow-up 2 days later, no response. Most of the responses were, "From the looks of your conversation, I saw nothing you did that could have turned her off." I concurred. Then...there's this ONE guy that chimes in, as he always does, saying it was HE that didn't do anything to keep her interest or coming back. He said something about him not doing anything to increase his "buying temperature". Now, when I hear the use "buying" in a dating situation, you're comparing human beings to commodities. But mainly, he says it's the action HE, the man, didn't take to keep her replying. Basically, it has nothing to do with her being rude or discourteous about ghosting, but rather....the action the MAN should take to keep her around. This guy can't write this woman off as "being weird" but more so blames the actions of the man corresponding with her. Personally, I think this is PUA advice, whereas the rest tend to concur. "Yeah, people on the Internet can be weird. She probably found something better." The advice given is given to the flakey nature of the individual, "keeping her interest" and who wants to live like that, right?
normal person
She either likes you or she doesn't, but you have to put at least the base effort in. If you can't hold her attention with a normal, somewhat entertaining or thought provoking conversation, she doesn't like you that much anyways. Just move on. There are plenty of women out there who you don't need to "win over" or "keep." They will have a naturally inclination to talk to you. Don't bother with the ones that don't.
