sugarpuss Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I wouldn't overanalyze. I'd take it to mean exactly what the dictionary says it does: "a person having a sexual or romantic relationship with someone, often outside marriage." No feelings necessary.
Methodical Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 It isn't uncommon to call fwb and the likes by pet names. Don't read too much into it. My guess is he's trying to patch up things and sweet talk is a good start toward melting the glacier barrier you put up.
