LookAtThisPOst
There was a local singles professionals group that had opened up in my area, surprisingly in an area full of blue collar types as most professionals around here had taken up the marriage vows. Apparently, it's kind of getting off to a good start, but there's an option to sign up under a subscription service quarterly or annually, or you can be a non-paying subscriber and pay a fee per event. I recall this happening back in the 90s prior to Meetups and before online dating sprung into action, but it sounds like the trend may be going back the days of old as I do recall singles activities groups where the organizer did charge a few hundred dollars per year. Now before you get sticker shock, this seems to be feasible as paying such money probably would keep people from flaking out on events and feel more obligated to attend. This group is more of a "Singles Professionals Networking" group...have you ever been a member of such a group?
