I'm new to this website and I am currently going through a divorce. I am wanting to touch base with others going through this issue and hope to find people that can relate.

There are wrongs on seperate sides. She cheated on me while while I was in Afghanistan and started drinking as a coping mechanism.

I have stopped, but I believe she had already made her decision when she moved out while as I sought to admit myself to treatment. She had already moved on emotionally which was an easier path for her.

What habit did you have that was so bad, let me guess, that's what drove her to drink and cheat.

What is your view on the divorce?

It's a blessing that you can't see yet. With the limited information you've given I can envision your wife as a selfish entitled woman who feels justified in cheating on a deployed husband... absolutely no respect for people in her shoes.

I chose alcohol, she chose men.

Makes you both wrong but doesn't really offer a commentary on the success of your marriage, many couples have come back from worse.

Are you living together? Is she open to counseling?
