You don't have to be perfect...When a man loves you he just loves you, I guess...

Recommended Posts

I was thinking of taking pole dance, but I was feeling very insecure about my height...I was wondering if I will look good at all on a pole. I am 157cm.

so I searched the '157cm girl' on the internet and came across celebrity couple of height difference. and there is this Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa.

This guy is such a heartthrob. and I think his wife is just normal looking. I mean this guy can definitely get a model looking woman. but he choose her and he is such a attentive, devoted husband and wife. He seems love his wife very much and appears to be very faithful.

damn...isn't it proof that when a man loves you, you don't have to try to be perfect, you are just perfect in his eyes?

um...this gives me so much to think about...

Is there something wrong with being 157 cm...? :o

Anyway, it's certainly true that when someone loves you, they aren't expecting you to be perfect. In fact, I daresay that anyone with an ounce of maturity knows that nobody is perfect. Not even themselves.

I'm also wondering what's wrong with 157cm.

One of my nieces teaches pole dancing. She's pretty short. And frankly, if a dancer is good enough to be performing, the audience will focus on her skill - not her height.

The rest of what you say is simple commonsense.

yes, nothing wrong. but super short probably doesn't look very beautiful on the pole.

Good to hear you're enrolling. And make this about you - not about your appearance

I am marveled at the art form and athleticism of it. I think I am comparatively flexible and active, so I think I should do good with it.

but, if I look good, I might want to show off. if not, then I really just want to make this about myself.

how tall do you think she is:

Look, just like my fav podcaster says...

'Your man is just glad to have your naked body next to his'...

I mean, we women are so self-conscious for no reason. When a guy is into you and is mature enough to not compare you to airbrushed magazines or porn actresses, he's not keeping score as to whether or not you jiggle, have symmetrical nipples, etc.

Actually, men hate it when women hold back and cover up and all that.

Be natural, be confident, and rock his world!!!

I don't have a he. I am perpetually single. Sorry that my post gave you the wrong idea about my status.

Oh, no worries.

Still, do this not just for "you", but for the confidence it will give you for the day you meet that special guy ;)

Like exercising...

When I look in the mirror and see the results of my hard work, it makes me proud and confident. I stand taller and feel better about myself.

In life we aren't naturally born with "self-esteem" or "self-love" or "self-confidence"...We must do thing to build that. We take up a hobby, sport, cause, etc. And, each time we accomplish something (i.e. hobby to learn to play chess) it makes us feel stronger and more confident.

Actually, I just was wiping down the re-grouting I did of one of my bathrooms. It was difficult and tiresome and my nails look like crap. But gosh darn, I feel good that I accomplished something I've never done before. That's how we build confidence.

I totally agree with you.

I currently do fancy a guy. That alone makes me super insecure already. I thought he was attracted to me, but turned out he doesn't remember me. That makes me feel super undesirable. :( I thought if I am good at it and look good, I might want to post video on FB (but I am also thinking even I covered up well(wear short and tank top), is it appropriate?) see...I try too hard I guess.

Yes, I mostly self-taught myself at swimming, snowboarding/skiing and rollerblading and I am good with them. That's one of the reasons I don't commit suicide despite sometimes I feel life is very difficult, like nothing goes my way and feel too tough to go on.

oh, yes, I also patched my drywall after watching youtube and did a great job, after the electrician left the holes there. he refused to patched them after I refused him for more money.

Ummmm I have a crooked nose and am untoned and unfit with an average body.

My bf is loyal and feels super attracted to me. He fell hard for me and we had the infatuation stage - despite me not looking beautiful or gorgeous.

True chemistry happens without the person looking like a movie star.

My bf could get younger and hotter women than me. He is 30 and so am I.

Attraction may come from what's on the oustide, but love comes from within.

I've fallen madly in love with girls who initially I wouldn't class as my "type" or wasn't attracted to. By getting to know them over time, that attraction grew from nowhere until I was at the point I thought they were the most beautiful people alive. It's the people who are truly looking for real love. The ones who look beyond that initial attraction or lack of it. The ones who put in the time and effort to get to know someone rather than just walking away because someone doesn't fit some attraction profile they've created in their mind or society has forced them to believe in.

I've been instantly attracted to beautiful people who have turned out to be horrible on the inside, which in turn has turned off that attraction I originally had.

DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT OMG TAKE A POLE CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started poling more than a year ago and it's the most fun thing in the world! It doesn't feel like exercise, but it's killer for your core and upper body. A lot of dancers have killer hot bods in their 50s.

I've never even been to a club... just totally dig the gymnastic fitness aspect. It can be really graceful and beautiful. Love me some Bendy Kate.

157 is a lovely height!

i always feel self conscious about the shape of my body. its not a bikini body. and then my guy came in my life, and he's been lifting and picking me up constantly and wrapping around me and squeezing my fat stores to no end ^-^ he absolutely sees my body differently than i do. its all a matter of personal perception.

and i also see it in myself, the more i am acquainted with people the most beautiful i think they are (romantically and non-romantically). it takes some time to notice this kind of individual beauty. it sounds cheesy, but i swear, this is how it's been for me.

Real love comes by surprise, and you never know who and how you will fall in love with. Those that pass by what could be the love of their life, only because they are looking at what is society perceives as beauty, will not find, and do not, deserve true, full and deep love. Love is for the whole person, and the whole package. Someone who you can live and love with is better, then one how just looks good for their time. We will all change, and what is inside is what will make it in the long run.

Women, and men, who feel that they are not worthy of love, just by their looks do themselves a injustice. Men and women, who pass by a "good" mate because of looks, are just as sad. It is always better to find and choose those that are here, then hope and look for a life time, for what you think is the perfect mate. At some point, all that would have been good for you are picked up, and you are left with those who will never make a good mate. Time is not on your side, at any age.

My two cents.

(I married at 19, and we have been together for 40 plus years. )

She is a Spanish model and a film actress, so I m not sure where you get her being "just normal looking".

Oh by the way, take the class, and who cares how tall you are. Beauty and sex appeal in always in the receiver, and I am sure the lucky guy who gets the results in your bed room will be crazy about you.

I wish you luck....

She's beautiful. She's a lot curvier than the average model and looks great, considering how she's birthed three children.

My boyfriend and I have an even greater height gap. A lot of guys don't care.

Thanks for everyone's input.

update: I tried a pole class...phew...it's not as easy as it looks. and indeed, I am the shortest in the class of 3. don't think I will ever do a video and post on facebook, because looking at the mirror in the room and compare with others..don't think there is anything I can show for.
