Woggle
Moderator's Note:This thread was split from another entitled, "BF got cold feet! Guys, please help! :(" at the following location: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t66184/ Originally, RecordProducer started the discussion after the man she loves appeared to have become hesitant about marrying her. User Woogle then stated that, as seen below, he could see why a man would not want to be married. The discussion picks up from that point, below. Originally posted by Woogle at 1:20 AM, Tuesday: July 5, 2005. Nothing personal against you but I don't blamea man for not wanting to get married.
moimeme
OK Woggle. We get it. You're against marriage. Don't need to put it on every thread.

It is time that a real man gives them the real deal. You're too late. We already have at least two other posters claiming to be real man (that)gives them the real deal Which usually means cynical bitter man who chose the wrong woman and now wants to take it out on the rest of womankind. We need a forum for 'bitter men and women' to vent their spleens in.

Just because some chick ripped off your balls you don't need to take it out on the rest of them. I play by my own rules, And I seem to be getting along in the world just fine. I know there are good women, but they are few and far in between these days. If you are a good woman don't take offense to what I say, because I am not talking about you. I am just telling men to be careful. I honestly don't {know} why any man would get married these days unless he meets the best woman in the world. Just look at these facts. Women cheat just as much as men nowadays and most cheating women see nothing with what they do. The divorce courts are on the woman's side, even if she cheated or abused a man. 75% of divorces are filed by women. Divorced men are one of the most depressed groups in the world (except for me, of course, who has a new lease on life) Most married women are angry at their husbands half the time and she will make him feel the anger. Why would any man want to willingly jump into this? What incentives are there for him?

How is a man going to do that when she leaves to go find herself and he can't even see his own kids. Those things you named mean nothing to the average modern woman.

JK. Two-three years ago I swore I'd never be in a relationship with any scum again. Cuz all men were scums. The good ones (if any) were taken. Re-marry?!?!?! I would run for the hills if you'd mention the letter "m" in my presence. It comes with bitterness and goes away with time and emotional recovery. A broken-hearted person having faith in love is the same as a broken-legged person getting up to play soccer.

Not the average woman. yes the average modern woman. Most women these days don't appreciate gentlemenly ways at all. They are not interested in love and commitment. They are just as big players as men used to be. Most women these days are more concerned with independence and money rather than the things you espouse. Too many clueless men these days though try to act like gentleman and then wonder why they never have any luck. Just look at this board. Look at the speration and divorce forum. It is filled with men that thought they had a happy marriage and then one day she decideds to up and leave aor she cheats and then blames him. Do you want that to be you 10-20 years down the road? Cwazydude
What you say is true, But "Big player's as men used to be"? We still are. What your talking about is called Humanity. Female's are not dark, evil creature's that should be feared. That's humanity. Some people in the world are bad, And they do bad things. And even though I realize this, I still give girl's the benefit of the doubt. Innocent until proven guilty. You on the other hand, Think all female's (Or at least the one's you expect to meet) are nothing but loose girl's that will let anyone have a ride. That's not fair. Nice, Faithful girl's are not endangered. There are quite a bit of them if you know how to look. Your hate blind's you woggle.

Woman are the ones these days that are running away from commitment not men. I never said all females are bad. There are always exceptions but the prevailing attitude amongst today's modern woman is what I describe and I advise men to proceed with caution. Before a man gets married he should be required to hang out with a group of divorced men for 2 weeks. Like I said before following my rules is the best way to even the odds in your favor. Nothing is ever 100% foolproof but it could greatly help you.

Women have their own money these days and most of them just view men as something to be played with and discarded. Men, on other hand, still act like women are still just waiting for the right man to love them. In reality, women are just as big, if not bigger, players than men are. Men are disposable to most women.
moimeme
Well, in Sex and the City, every one of them ended up getting married but Carrie, who was pretty close. The 'moral of the story' in the end was that however they all arrived at it, in the end they sought committed relationships.

That show was so overrated anyway. The only one I could stand was Miranda. The other 3 were annoying as hell. If I were a man living in that show she is the only one I would even go an a date with. Now we have desperate housewives and they are all annoying on that show. It's amazing that so many women actually look up to the charachters on these shows. No wonder why so many women these days have issues.
